Daddy/Daughter Dance (and winter pictures)

Friday night Brad took Lauren to the Daddy/Daughter dance.  A friend told me about and I mentioned it to Brad, but I don't think he was too excited.  Then one night Lauren heard Ellie talking about it, so she wanted to go to.  Lauren was so excited and kept showing us how she was going to dance (mostly ballet moves).
My mom and I got her all dressed up and curled her hair.  And she, of course, looked beautiful! (Brad looked handsome, too.)
We went outside to take pictures and all Lauren wanted to do was swing, so we just snapped some pics there.  And then they were off.  They were going to have supper at Andrew and Allison's (Thank you Allison!) home before the dance.  Brad said she had lots of fun at the dance.  He danced some with her, and the rest of the time the girls danced together.  The first thing I heard from Lauren when they got home was that she was a really good "disco-er".  Great big THANKS to Brad, for taking Lauren and making her feel so special.

Here are some pics from winter.

Spring Time!

Yes I know, it's been awhile.  I kind of have to think about what has been going on lately...
Brad and I are officially in the cattle business.  We bought a few calves this winter.  Brad and my brother have been feeding and taking care of them, so that they get big and fat. :)  So eat more beef!

Lauren had spring break last week.  I think she was ready to get back to school.  I tried to convince her that she would love spring break when she gets older, but right now school is too much fun.  Her preschool had some dress up days a couple weeks ago.  One of the days she got to wear her PJs to school and she was so excited.  The other two days she dressed up for her favorite sports team and a super hero princess.
 GO! HOGS! GO!

I took Lauren to Wal-Mart after I picked her up from school on super hero day.  The whole time she danced in front of the cart singing -You'll never catch me!  I'm sure everyone in walmart was very entertained.

We have been spending as much time outside as possible this week, since the weather has been so nice.  We have an old rope swing in our yard and Lauren spends alot of her time swinging.  I aired up her bike tires so she could start riding again.  Which learning to ride a bike on a rock road is pretty challenging.
Monday night, Lauren had a sleep over at Ganny and Papa's.  I packed her backpack and her sleeping bag, and we let her walk down the hill to their house by herself.  She looked so grown up walking down the driveway.  I should have took a picture.  She had a great time.
